    ARC/GNY LIFEGUARDING REVIEW - $250.00

      Lifeguard Review

    If you wish to renew your Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, you can take a Lifeguard Review. This course is designed to help you renew your Lifeguard Certifications. You'll review on lifeguarding skills and learn how to deal effectively with people, responsibility, and leadership. With a combination of prevention and safety; with you as a lifeguard will create a safe environment for yourself and everyone around you. The new Lifeguard Course materials incorporates the most recent science applied to Lifeguard skills, First Aid, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and, as well as the use of the A.E.D.

  • 1. Current Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate Note: If the Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certificate is expired, participants must take the full Lifeguarding or Shallow Water Lifeguarding course.
    2. Must have presents their own Lifeguarding book and CPR-mask or buy it prier to entering the class.
    3. Able to swim 300 yards continuously using:
          o Either front crawl or breaststroke with rhythmic Breathing
    4. Swim 20 yards front crawl or breaststroke, retrieve a 10-pound object from a depth of 7- 10 feet, return it to the surface, and swim 20 yards back to the starting point with the object within a designated of 1 min 40 sec.
    5. Trading-water for 2min with out using their arms.

  • In this course you will learn Lifeguards skills such as:
    1. Rescuing active, passive, and, distress swimmer.
    2. Back-boarding spinal injured victims.
    3. Multiple victims rescuers.
    4. CPR for Professional Rescuer w/ AED use.
    5. Standard First Aid

  • Upon completing this course successfully the participants will receive a Red Cross certification:

    • Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED valid for 2 years.

  • 1. Be present for the entire course.
    2. Successfully complete all required skills.
    3. Pass a multiple choice written exam at 80% or better.

  • 1. Dress comfortably; CPR First Aid skills are practiced on the floor in a kneeling position.
    2. The class involves a lot of moving around during classroom work and typically there will be a pool sessions per day.
    3. Participants must bring a swimsuit and towels each day.
